My Research

My published work spans several themes:
Head and neck oncology and quality of life, including a two-centre cross-sectional study on distress and health-related quality of life in post-treatment nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients (The Egyptian Journal of Otolaryngology, 2024), and a case report on neuropsychiatric presentation in p16-positive tongue carcinoma (Cureus, 2022), both reflecting a strong interest in the psychosocial and multidisciplinary aspects of cancer care.

Salivary gland and parapharyngeal pathology, including diagnostic and surgical challenges in intraparotid schwannoma (Cureus, 2022) and reconstructive management of pharyngo-cutaneous fistula complicating parapharyngeal abscess using a sternocleidomastoid flap (Journal of Clinical and Health Sciences, 2022).

Health systems and ENT practice during crisis, most notably a first-author account of adaptation in otorhinolaryngology practice during the COVID-19 lockdown at a Malaysian designated hospital (Malaysian Journal of Medical Sciences, 2021).
